Emma is a 73 year-old widow. Most of her family (sons, daughters and grandchildren) live in other cities, therefore Emma feels a bit alone. She therefore uses the system social network to contact people with the same interests as her, discuss books, play cards etc. Due to the long distance to her children, her son downloads an integrated AAL tool from uStore that enables his mothers PDM to function as a panic button with localizer in case of an emergency.
One day, Emma slips and falls, in which the system automatically alerts the neighbour and establishes contact with integratedAAL professionals if she wants to. Furthermore, it sends data to her doctor who can then change her medication.

John is 70 year old widower, who has been overweight since his wife past away and he has problems sleeping and feels tired. His wife used to do most of the housework including preparing and shopping for meals, which he now needs help for. John's doctor advises him to go on a hypo caloric diet and do aerobic exercises in order to lose weight.
The uAAL system has been installed in John's home and helps him with much of the daily work such as proposing healthy menus according to his preferences and doctor recommendations and ad proposal for new services, at uStore, which John uploads since there is no service that can motivate and control exercise in the home.

The uAAL system enables the doctor to update the system and view new data on John’s clinical history as well as reviewing John’s activities, eating habits, and history.
